A beautiful home in the heart of Royal Deeside with so many outdoor amenities on its doorstep you will not know where to start”
Given a grading of “Excellent” (4-STARS) by Visit Scotland, Heughhead Mill which is nestled in Royal Deeside and approximately 1.5 miles West from the centre of Aboyne was built in the 19th century as a threshing mill for Heughhead Farm. It is not known how long it was used as such but had certainly been in a state of disrepair since the 1970s. Work to convert the building into a dwelling house began in June 2008 and it was finally completed in June 2012.
Although the mill is now a beautiful family home, I run part of the house as a B&B (with a helping hand from my husband in the evenings and at weekends) for people who wish to stay in the area during their holidays or long weekends etc.
